Interesting Question - I read this post over at a design/mom blog I had ran across where she give the a beautiful response to this question.
As for myself I want to use this to celebrate my life - the life of my family - A Celebration. To put some of those good moments down that if they aren't written somewhere they are at risk of being forgotten. Life can be found in so many places - we just have to look for it!

Aw, what a nice, concise post. I've been thinking about this lately too, but I fear if I were to write a post about it, I may ramble. Sort of how I'm rambling now...
That is probiably the best question that i have ever heard for a long time. Your answer is just the way that i would put it. I don't use a journal, but if i put pics on a blog and write about what i was thinking that day or what happened then i consider it part of journaling.
